NO, not a polar plunge, but after much deliberation and about an hour on the phone with a very nice guy, I ordered a straight rattan grip sheepeater.  :goldtooth:  This will be the first trad bow that I've got that there wasn't "some assembly required".  :D

Dirty Bill

All right, good for you.I ordered the recurve riser on mine. I'm excited to see mine.I haven't had a bow custom built since 1988. I only have to wait until about april...      :campfire:

I shot one with the rattan grip last year and found it to be just a sweetheart to shoot. She is fast and steady.

Your gonna love that little baby Ollie.  You too Dirty.  There isnt a bow out there that I know of that comes close to being a Sheepeater.  It's a real unique little Gem.  Brent really deserves the work too, a real Gem also. Enjoy the anticipation. Randy.

Be very afraid...I suggest you send that bow to me as soon as you get it for proper storage as it is dangerous and highly addictive.  I am the only know person to be able to resist it's charm.  :D    ;)    :biglaugh:

Congratulations and you'll for sure love that bow!

Did you order it with the floppy leather rest, that is the way to go and if you did I would suggest you order it setup with a duel rest so the bow can be shot right or left handed.  With that grip the string runs right down the middle.

Yes, I ordered it with the floppy leather rest, but not on both sides. If I ever try to shoot lefty I will tie some feathers on and shoot off the knuckle. I can't wait to get this bow. I am going to try to make some cane arrows for it.
