The weather is terrible here, so I have been working on arrows. Just wondering if anyone else out there splices (foots) broken arrows back together to shoot at squirrels. I have been doing this for quite a few years to save money.  Maybe I should just get a job that pays better.

I do it with both aluminum and wood shafts. Simple gluing a short, straight piece of old aluminum shaft over a broken wood arrow to make a servicable arrow for squirrels and other forms of small game...

Hey... Ya gotta to something to keep busy when the weather is bad. My wife loves when I'm home building arrows to hunt bunnies. Says it keeps me from hunting beaver.......

Yeah I'm cheap too when it comes to my stumping or squirrel arrows. I fix woods with aluminums too.
Just one more step please!

I just did it for the first time with my Carbon CX 150's.  I hope to test them on some pheasants in Nebr. over Christmas.  If they can still shoot well for small game, seems almost foolish not to salvage them.
