Thinking about getting one. would appreciate any pros and cons and also what style you like and why. I'm leaning toward the cqc15. thanks Don

Haven't owned one yet, but I've yet to hear one bad thing about them on any of the forums I belong too.  My Christmas list includes the CQC7.

The cqc7 is one of the best knives made. can take a real beating. I have used the same one for 7 yrs.

oops sorry

Have had a cqc7 for a few years now. From time to time I need to tighten the pivot but that is just a turn of a screw that could be locktighted, I suppose. The hinge shows no wear. The blade is single bevel and very easy to sharpen and the steel is REALLY good. The handle is very good in ergo and non-slip. Other than price, I have no complaint at all. That is rare for me. If I lost it, I would buy another.

I have a cqc 7 for about 8 or 9 years and it takes a lot of abuse.I use it as my duty knife so it gets used for about anything. The tanto blade doesnt have much hunting use but I trust my life to it.Its a well built piece of American equipment.
