I have some old glass arrows that are tipped with Bear Greenies.  I am going to mount a few up on screw in inserts for winter hunting.  Weighed one up- 145 grains.  They look like a big head and I'm hoping to get them to fly well out of my 45# BL.  I pull it to 50, and have some 2117 alums, beman 500s, 400s, not sure which arrow is going to work best yet- I'll be tuning tonight.  Anyone still using this old head, and which way are you lining them up?
I'm starting with a 10 o'clock/4 o'clock alignment, my magnus shoot well this way.  Some others shoot better at noon/six, which way are you guys using??  Thanks

As long as you don't mount them backwards, it doesn't matter.

I've used them (mostly) for over forty years and they work great.  Probably the easiest head to sharpen that was ever made, and it's plenty durable.  If your arrows are tuned, you won't have any issue with arrow flight.

Same as George, just a good solid broadhead, when I,m hunting I shoot at everything and the bears can be sharpened very quick and fast. I,m running low but as long as I have them I,ll use them

That's what I use and I mount them 9 and 3. Flight works for me. I love them old greenies because I'm sharpening challenged and they get sharp even for me.
God bless,Mudd
