Well if I tell you all what I do that is stupid , maybe I'll stop doing it !

What it is , I have made my own Flemish twist bowstring for years and sometimes I need to pad the loops .
I get all the bundles cut and ready , cut and lay out some B50 to pad the loops with and start at it .
I get the first loop done and.......
Some idiot only cut enough B50 to do one loop .    :saywhat:

Nope.  I have never done anything like that. Except, the last string I made came out short....I wonder why??

Trust me......it won't stop the stupidity. And the older you get the worse it will get. Been there, done that, bought the T shirt....   :wavey:

First couple of padded loops I made, I meticulously cut the padding strings each 1/2" less than the next one, so they would blend in on each end.  Finally I realized that I could accomplish the same thing by cutting them all the same length and then just offsetting the ends by 1/4".    :knothead:

One time I did up a full dozen cedar arrows , carefully glued the nocks on .
Started to fletch them and noticed that I had every one of the nocks 90° off orientation to the wood grain .
How did I do that ?

I recently made a set of 6 bamboo arrows that sold in our UBM silent auction.
A friend bought them.
Received a picture a day later, I had put one feather on backwards.
Good thing my friend has a sense of humor.

Graps, I'm glad you realize no one else would do anything like that.

Ahhhh, welllll, I remember setting up my multifletcher to fletch some 4-fletch arrows.  Two feathers each on 6 shafts in the fletcher later I realized that I had it set up for THREE fletch!!!     :knothead:

Ah heck, ya have any idea how many left handed bows I've made? And I'm right handed. LOL

I have retied strings so often trying to length right that they were half worn out before I got to use them.  But this week I shot myself in the head with a sling shot, it was a trick shot don't ya know.

It happens. The day you can't laugh about it is the day to start using store-bought strings.

I busted two points off of wooden arrows so I cut them, tapered them and was going to glue Reparrows to them. I noticed I neglected to add in the dimension for the point taper. So I cut the Reparrow and glued another Reparrow to the first one so each arrow now sports TWO Reparrows. Duh.

Got a half dozen great shafts ready for the cresting paint., Tapered the nock and point ends then proceeded to crest the point end...lol. Luckily they were full length shafts.

Deno , if you fletched them backwards , that would compensate for it .     :biglaugh:
