Bluebirds of happiness!!

as i stood my post tonite waiting for that P&Y buck to show up i had several bluebirds try to land on my head. three times they hovered 6" from my face. you gotta love being in the woods in camo and having Close Encounters!

Thats the reason i don't take a camera along while hunting-----I'm liable to forget I'm hunting and just keep right on snapping pics!

btw I do take a camera while hunting(well ok sometimes) and got this  shot of the only other living creature in the woods with me that day.
A woodpecker (his bill obscured by an aspen leaf), busy tap tap tapping for the same reason as I was sitting out there if you think about it. (Sorry about the poor image quality digital zoom was the only way I could pull him in close enough to make out)
