Screaming Eagle creak?

Ever have a Screaming Eagle creak from too much pitch back?  Used these stands for years, always silent. Put up new stand that leans back due to tree angle and when I leaned forward to practice draw it creaks. Too much seat pressure with this angle ,  but feel I can remedy it.  I will take a wrench in and tight seat board and corn oil the seat pivot.
  Question,  do you find a creak is usually the....seat bolts need tightening?
  ....oil needed on joints?

I hunt out of eight of them (sitting in one now) they have rarely creaked.  The few times they have, it has always been the seat.  Usually when the wood gets old/dry and the bolts get loose. I replace the seats.  The ones with the hanging brackets will creek if not hung right.

Mine has creaked a few times. The bolts were dry. I dripped a little vegetable oil on them and cleared it right up.

Thanks guys, my brother also added that he put a mitten under the seat where the seat bracket contacts the the cross bar on a really cold morning when he had the rare creak.

They are still being made in Montana, run a goggle search on Screaming Eagle Treestands.

A couple of stick on felt pads on the bottom of the metal seat supports also helps.

I have four Screaming Eagles and they stay out all year. The seats often need lubrication early on in the season. I always carry a small squeeze bottle of the green soap we shower with.It is odorless and does the job. Never had to do it twice on any one stand in a given season, Sometimes tightening the bolts makes it worse...at least for me.

I bought a new Eaglet just a few weeks ago. The rest of my stands are full-size Eagles. I get the turnbuckles feature for leveling platform in leaning tree. SE is the best hang-on stand available IMHO.

You might want to check for cracks. I've used these stands for 25yrs and love them but mine had a crack which made it creak. Had it welded and all is good now.
