Looking for opinions on which pant to get. Will be mainly used for tree stand hunting here in MS. Which ones do you prefer?
Thanks

Neither are really designed for stand hunting, IMHO, but the Kanabs are noticeably more quiet.  I have both, FWIW.

love the Kanabs. the v2.0 has some noticeable improvements in fit over the 1.0 version.

i wear them stand hunting all the time.

I am not discounting that you can use them stand hunting, but the real advantages for them would be for more active hunting, like elk hunting or other all day spot and stalk hunting.  For stand hunting it would be difficult for me to justify the cost for a very thin fabric pant for which alot of less expensive pants could do the job, possibly better, IMHO.  I think the corrugate are more noisy than I would want for spooky whitetail hunting.

And I agree, the second generation of Kanabs are nicer, and the fact that they come with a longer inseam is great for me.

that's true. they aren't terribly warm. but since i live in south AL, they're pretty versatile for me. definitely need something warmer if it's in the 30s or so.

I often wear my kanabs as a layer under an outer layer. I would not call them ideal for stand hunting, especially if there is any wind.

I really enjoy the Kanab 2.0. I haven't tried the Guide Pant though. I wear mine with the Allegheny bottoms (basically long johns), and have chased elk (first time) and been stand hunting for deer the past three weekends. They are a great pant. Love the fit, the second pocket in the right front fits wind detector bottles nicely, the way the front cargo pockets are made you have a Really Nice bow tip holder for 'ready to draw' positioning of your bow. The back pocket zips close, which I like for holding my license at all times. The hand pockets are very deep and seem to ride on the front of the leg just above the cargo pockets (little overlap), which feels great as items are not bouncing around when you walk.

If you go Kanab, make sure it is the Kanab 2.0, it has these features, the older style do not. Looking to sell my originals and get another pair of 2.0's.

My wife bought me the kanabs 2.0 last year.  Haven't had a chance to wear them after sheep or goat yet, but did chase deer and moose a few times.  A good base layer and they are quite comfortable for a wide range of temps.  I do mostly still hunt but will sit and call or watch if the area feels right.
