I've posted before about how I want to try out a longbow and I see over at LAS they have them (the Samick Red Stag Longbow) for $149 shipped in 45#.

I'd appreciate it if someone can chime in and talk about how well they shoot.

I took a look at some pics of it unstrung and it looks as though it has little to no R/D and has a locator grip.

I have yet to find any reviews on it online after doing a search.

I'm wondering, too.  Would also like to know about it's replacement, the Sage longbow.

FYI,  The "new" Samick 68" Sage longbow is the same as the 68" Samick Red Stag longbow.

Got this info directly from Lancaster Archery in writing.  The Sage just uses the Sage pattern dark brown / light brown colored riser woods.  Same form used for both.  Marketing move.  FWIW.
Behavior accepted, is behavior repeated.

I never understood why they had to pin the same names of some of their recurves on their longbows. I understand marketing, and wood likeness.... but personally, I think the longbows would deserve their own name, instead of a lended name. Weird...

I appreciate that info riser.

That's a shame because I like the color/looks of the red stag over the Sage Longbow.

Oh well for $149 I guess I'll give it a shot.

I'll post up a review when I receive it.
