So I am thinking of making some arrows for my new bow. It is a black widow PMA that pulls #43 at my 27" draw. I have some ramin shafts that I believe are spend 50-55 and 125 grain ribteks that I want to use. My question is, will this be heavy enough or should I get some woody weights to increase my front end mass? Do I need to go up in spine? Thanks

Regarding spine, you will have to bare shaft tune to find out.

Regarding arrow weight, you should weigh them, but they should be fine. I would guess they are at last 450gr.

My first deer was killed with 43#@25" which I terribly underdrew shooting a <500gr arrow.

Ramin shafts are fairly heavy compared to POC. I'd guess you would end up with 450-500 grains if you cut them to 28 inches BOP. That spine should work, especially if you keep the arrows fairly short.  Only way to know is to try them.

Ramin makes a good and very tough arrow.  You should be fine on weight, but unless you build the side plate out some I believe you will be underspined with a PMA.  Widows are cut pretty deep and need plenty of spine.  28" bop and a 125 point I add 15 lb to draw weight.
