**** My voice will sound weird while laying out the line, that is because I have it going at a faster speed than normal so you don't have to watch the line being laid out as long.******

I put Sadie on another trail today.  I have to get her off to a new area soon.  I feel like the yard is getting boring.  This was by far the hardest trail I have put her on.  IT was 2 hours old and overall she did well, but I could tell her attitude was different than I have seen.  I didn't see her nose on the ground a whole lot.  I did realize that I typically go a certain route and this one goes a different way and she did it, but she was not directly on the trail the whole time.  I plan on putting her on one more before I go on vacation next week.

I spoke with Jerry Russell for a half hour today and got some incite.  In my opinion, he knows his stuff.

I look forward to my dog and I both getting better.

But its end is the way of death."  Proverbs 14:12

Daniel, good to see you making progress.
I made a couple calls today toward getting a Drahthaar pup. We'll see how things go in the next few weeks. I'm anxious!
I got a drathaar last year, he is an amazing dog. I am amazed at the drive he has. I will never own another breed of bird dog. If you need anything let me know.

yer right she does look a bit hot- but still did well- just watch that she is not tracking you combined with the blood- i saw that some of the mixture was being tossed in front of you as you walked.
really tray and throw it well to the side- then you will be able to see exactly  what she is following.

tough when you are laying trails over trails etc- but might not be to bad, teaching her just to follow the freshest trail!

looking good mate!

Jerry does know his stuff. I have Bears sister and although she is a tracker she is not anywhere near Bears level and I attest that to Jerry. And his training. I find it fascinating to see her work though and Bavarians are know to mature late at 2.5-3yrs. Molly and Bear are 3 on September 29 so I am anticipating a good deer season tracking. She certainly has matured a ton over the past 6 months.
