I believe I found some lead wire on an auction site once,though mine was larger diam.

For drilling and inserting weight, the best thing I've found is 16 penny galvanized casing nails. They weigh about the same as the lead wire by also provide some strength. I put 175 Abowyer broad heads on some cedar shafts last fall for a moose hunt and got up to 240 grains up front that way.
Also the thing I've noticed is that doing the internal weight doesn't seem to impact spine nearly as much as just mounted on front
