Looking to spend under $200 if possible, can only afford 1 and I need it to work.

Got permission on a nice property to chase whitetails here in MT, but it's almost 2 hours away so scouting trips will be limited.

Thanks!

Been through tons including many homebrews.  Just using brownings now and I am very happy with them.  Not necessary but they are surely fun.

I have 6 Bushnell trophy cams and a 2 cuddebacks IR.I have had great luck with these.I hunt a very special place with lots of different animals and go thru a lot of pics. The Cuddebacks really go thru batteries while the Bushnells last 3 times as long.I have heard from others that the Brownings are a good camera as well.
IF MONEY TALKS MINE SAYS GOODBY

If you can find a Covert MP6 buy it! They are not made anymore, but that is the best camera I have ever had!

I have three bushnells, a u-way, 2 stealth cams.

the u-way has best picture quality, but for the money and ease of operations, etc.  nothing beats the bushnells

Covert! I have 4 MP8's and use them on property 16 hours away. I only go there once a year. Put them out Nov 6th 2014. Went back Nov 6th 2015. The one with 8-AA lithiums was still full power and took 5,600 pics. The one with 4-AA lithiums was down one bar on battery 90%! It took 5,400 pics. The 3rd one had 8-AA Duracell alkaline batteries. It took 7,200 pics and had one battery bar left. My other MP8 was left in Colorado. Will check it this coming September

Just remember, you do not have any need for high resolution.  You're not taking pictures for the Sunday magazine, you just want to see whats there.

Way too much being spent on unnecessary gimmickry in the name of quality.

x2, just use lithiums, last all season.

There 990i is awesome also and has an invisible flash at night. Periodically go on sale or can get refurbished ones from moultrie's site.
shoot straight shoot often

I have to agree with Bisch. I only have a couple but the mp6 covert is awesome if you can find one.

Biggamefish

Wild game and moultrie cams seem to work well for me.  I think all of mine were either 80 to 130 dollars.  I have had some stop working but that is after 2 years or so and that is pretty much leaving them outside all year.  We get some freezing Temps too and they seem to work through that as well.
