I purchased a kit from Binghams to make a 68" 60# longbow(.418).  After seeing some of the R/D bows I have changed my mind from straight to a R/D design.  I an planning on using a takedown sleeve and changing the design to T/D R/D. 1.25 D with about 1.25 R.  The Tips are close to the back of the riser.  What kind of poundage increase will I get going from the straight design to the R/D design.  Binghams charts show their shallow T/D as .404 and .335 with the pronounced.  My riser from fade out to fade out will be about 16".  I'm wondering if I should just order new laminations.

Its hard to say what you need. You might try a thickness somewhere between the two and see what you get. I have found you have to build a couple to see where to go with thickness recepies.

So it is still a TD? Is the riser 16"without the wedges? If nothin changes in the riser section,I'd guess it would gain a few #.

Like Mike says, the first is an educated guess.......
Stay sharp, Kenny.

The riser would basically be the same length as the normal riser for a Bingham Longbow(Not the T/D).  I need to square up my form after cutting it to the shape I wanted.  I an using the sleeve like 3-River's sells.  I got my sleeves from Northwest Archery several years ago when I was in the Seattle area.  I plan on setting up the sleeves like Wes Wallace where the sleeve that slides in will be the lower limb which would keep out water etc.
