looking to buy some bamboo shafts, anybody know of a good supplier, reliable

I got mine off the big auction site. Let's just say Chinese spine testers leave a little to be desired!

I have picked them up from Kustom King before. They were nice shaft. Nodes already sanded and heat treated.

Hey Rusty I see they only have 2 sizes available, they are about 10 lbs heavier in spine than what I think I need, does the spine seem pretty accurate, I shoot about 56lbs @ 29,

I have some 45 to 50 # that work well for your weight.
PM me interested.
These fly very well full length (33") from 50 to 60 pound bows.

There is a how to on the PA forum that uses Home Depot garden stakes. I am hoping to give it a try sometime

Yes the spine was right on.

I have heard of a place called Franks Supply. I see that they have every thing you would need. I have never dealt with them so I can't help you there.

A friend of mine gave me 6 bamboo shafts,, I flexed one and it snapped In two right at a node, I was surprised ????  I didn't put a lot of pressure on it, and the shafts are spined 60 / 65 lbs, anybody have any experience like this ???

macbow

You can always run into a bad one, I've have not seen that on the carbonized pre-sanded and finished ones.

The ones I had wouldn't stay straight and they split between the nodes .
