I love yew ! all of yew !!!...lol

Still my preferred wood for bows , but that may be sentimental as Im an ol' Robin Hood geek from way back.

I actually broke my Redman three days ago ...don't ask ...

I also love elm and osage ... but prefer yew above all else !

Hey Danny,That blacktail has to be one of the nicest looking and shooting bows I've ever had in my hands,no wonder the 16 month wait.

Oh, no! Southern Ben! My sincere condolences to you.

I like Redmans and Wesley Specials.

No.. uh-uh.. not going to happen....lol

Ben you tell us "I actually broke my Redman three days ago ...don't ask ..."

Then you say don't ask.. no fair!

Come on give it up brother! What happened? Please tell me something exciting like a water buffalo ran over it and not something like I slammed the limb in my truck door..lol

Inquiring minds want to know!

God bless,Mudd

If you want a nice Hill style Yew longbow try a Frank SanMarco.

Been my experience that in a glass longbow yew is both smoother and faster. For a HH, I have been thinking about an owl with 2 lams carmelized boo on the back under clear glass and 3 lams osage on the belly

ok Mudd, Ben and Steve ...
Amidst the herds of charging buffalo , raging boars and majestic stags that roam my garage I dropped my bow from upstairs and it landed on some fresh cut jagged iron which gouged the limb badly ...
Ebony riser , antler tips ... now hopefully with the help of some superglue ... a wall hanger .

I stand in good company amongst many other Hills though and this Redman i had inscribed 'Hood' had already accounted for many a rabbit over the past couple of months .
My new Robin Hood #13 and T/d Rhino are filling the gap nicely though ... man are they sweet .

I have used my Hills from one end of Oz to another , atop my horses , on motorbikes and as fishing poles [ again don't ask ] and they are nigh on indestructible . I have probably sold forty or fifty acting as a dealer for Craig and never a peep re warranties etc ...
trust me to bust one through my own carelessness .
bummer !

the only cure is to replace it ...
now lets see ....what about 66" .....

Ben, that must have made you sick to your stomach. I agree, replace it to sooth the hurt  ;)

There are those that know and those that will find out on their own but we don't want to advertise it or there'll be a run on it...lol

That's ok Roy, there's plenty of it down here. I doubt I will run out of it in my lifetime.
