For all you JoJan users, do you prefer straight fletch or helical fletch?

saumensch

helical. but that said, helical with a jojan does not (or just after hours of installing   ;)   ) work with slim shafts like the beman mfx. this is stated in the manual.

both
Hunting = Helical
Flu-Flus = straight

JamesV

I have both, use the straight offset almost exclusivle. Never got the helical to sit on the shaft right, Probably me.

I used to use all helical, till I had to drop weight and ended up shooting knitting needles.   You really can't set helical on them.   I haven't noticed any particular shortcoming in the straight set.   If anything, they retain speed a bit longer than the helicals, and at 23 to 27 pounds, that's important.

Night Wing

I prefer helical over straight fletching. I have a right wing helical Jo Jan MultiFletcher.

I also have both and been using the straight clamp more than the RW helical in the past few years.

JRY309

I use all three,LW,RW and straight for small diameter youth arrows like 1514.

Buckeye Trad Hunter

I have all 3, but I use the left helical on all my arrows.

SteveT

I too use L,R Helical for the most part, if i do use straight, its offset..

Guru

I've been using my right wing helical Jo-Jan for about 25yrs....

I use straight.  As long as I don't mix them, I can use left or right fletches.  Bill

Curt,

I've had mine for about that long...23 years and I've used RW and straight fletch.

Skinny carbons need to have the base moved one way the holder moved the other way (depending on RW or LW), I'll try to take a picture tonight and post what I'm talking about.

Sometimes I wonder about a Bitz and if they're better but after 50+ dozen arrows or more over that time period why switch!

Depends on the arrows and use of them, helical works best for all around use though.

JoJan helical RW.  I have had mine a long time, no problems with helical.  I have done 1/4" dowell rods w/three inch feathers for kids bows.
