Mudd

My good friend and buddy Butch Speer and I had this one planned out since last season.

We had such a fun time last year we decided to do it again.

Last year Butch ended up having to leave early because of some troubles that needed his immediate attention.

Well Murphy struck ole Butch again. His wife's car decided to give her troubles and so after the drive up last evening he had to turn around and go back home to get it taken care of.

It looks like I'll have poor company at camp now as it's just me..lol

I'm gonna make the best of it. The nice part is I can drive home(about 30 miles) when I need to take care of something that can't wait.

Here's Mudd's Callaway County Deer Camp.

Thanks for looking.

God bless,Mudd

Good luck.  Looks like you are all set up for a grand time, enjoy yourself.   Hopefully your buddy will be able to make it back up.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Looks like you're good to go. Love the camper, but I'm intriqued by those those Disco Lights myself. Behave yourself, good luck, and be safe!

Looks like a little piece of heaven there to me Mudd! I wish I had some pics of my deer camp at our old property, yours looks like the Hilton compared to mine, but it felt like home none the less. I always slept more peaceful there than I ever did in my own bed at home.   :campfire:

We finally moved up to the Penthouse since my dad bought an RV with running water, shower/bathroom, sattelite TV, heat/air, and an actual kitchen table with stove, frig, microwave, and a sink!   :jumper:

Callaway County??
Heck, we are practically neighbors!
I'm hunting just up the road from ya just outside of Montgomery City, and we just lost our lease of 15 years as of this past February in Mineola.

Thanks for the kind words!

Those lights are a garage sale find. They are just regular light fixtures that someone has put on a tripod like you might find on a telescope.

It makes a great camp light in that you can put it anywhere you want and the individual lights can be moved around to shine where you want.

I like them pointed up at the canvas because it gives off reflected light to a larger area.

I learned all about reflecting light from the boys up on "Monkey Mountain". When we had sappers in the wire the big lights were turned on and we got the area lit up for us so we could see what or who was coming. The lighting was much better if they had some clouds to bounce the light off of.

I loved their motto: "We lit'em, you fight'em"...lol

Good looking camp Mudd, the only way to make it better is with a deer hanging from one of those trees! Good luck with the hunt, and I hope you get one that requires Butch to help you drag it back to camp.          :campfire:

Cool camp MUdd. How did you get all that stuff in that little trailer??????
