There is a guy in my bow club who rattled in and shot a 8 point sept 26th. He used a small set of antlers and made it sound like 2 yung bucks goofin off.

I've got a small set of antlers that are attached by a 12" string.  I lower them down on the ground by my pull rope from my stand.  I just give them a jiggle and let them bounce around in the leaves and bang againt the tree to give some noise other that the antlers to add realism.

Plus, as good as deer are at pin-pointing sound, it is more natural at ground level rather that 20' up in the air.

Just my .02.

They can't tell the difference.  I've successfully used a set made from one deer many, many times.

Now! Rattle with whatever horns you have avalable. It is great excitement when you have angry bucks hunting you, especially if you are on the ground.

Think of it this way.  When two bucks are sparring, the noise is coming from two different sets of antlers tangling, not from the same set.  With that in mind, if anything, it might be better to use two different antlers.  My opinion, though, is it doesn't matter.

Tie a couple of sets together on a long string and let them hang free and just jerk the heck out of the string.JMO
