Thinking about putting some limb savers on my widow...people say just below the fadeout???

The fade outs are the very tips of the end of each side of the riser.

It's the part of the riser that tapers or "fades out" into the limbs.    Note how the riser on this recurve tapers gradually until it's paper thin, and then disappears completely.
