Here are some pics of the targets in the lane, with the arrows in them. Perhaps not as tight as I'd like but I'd settle for any of them.

3D Deer @ 6 yds., 1 arrow:

3D Catalyna Ram @ 11 yds., 2 arrows:

Foam w' painted sillouette of grazing Deer @ 16 yds., 2 arrows (the other little yellow spot to the right of the arrows is just a painted golf tee, for a sometimes "spot"):

And an oak leaf on the ground @ 14 yds., 1 arrow:

I took my Ol' Man off the tree and put it away tonight (getting ready for the hurricane), and will probably go back to mostly practicing off my tower now, until and during the season. That saves time and allows more shots for the time I have out there. Again, thanks for looking. Good luck to y'all and remember to stay safe out there - and "up" there.

That's great, Son of Texas - it should really make you feel safe - mine does me (more so than any belt, or even harness, that I ever used.)

Tom, you may be right but I hope (and pray) we skate safely - again.

Good pics and you seem to have it down,Remember even in the back yard you need the safety harness.

Benjy

Ok Bernie, I'm happy now!  :D  That is a good looking vest and some good shooting.

(Shhhhh - but actually I won't be 75 untill Oct. -     :D  )

Yeah, me too, Benjy. I really didn't want anyone to get the idea that I don't use safety gear - ALL THE TIME.

This AM (from the wind speeds of Earl) keeping the vest on and some tie-downs on my pups (and volunteer cats) may be in order yet - nervous laugh.

As good as you climb......after this hurricane....I think you could get a job climbing poles for Duke power restoring electicity!(LOL) Great job and looks like your ready to poke a buck ot two. Glad to see you shootin Blackie so well!!!!!

ber643

Thank you, John, I do think I'll leave the pole climbing to the power companies guys though. I'm really having a ball with this Addiction bow, Kinati Slim Jim quiver, and CX50 arrows (w/175g tip)  combination, and enjoying it sooooo much. Can't thank you and the "batman" enough, for all of your help putting it all together, over this past summer.  Gonna start flinging a few of the broadhead tipped CXs that are in the quiver, soon now. Certainly hoping to throw one or two at a whitetail (or two) before the year is over -    :goldtooth:   LOL.

Well, "we" (NC in general and here near/on Bogue Banks in particular) sure dodged a potentially big bullet this time. Thank you, Lord. I hope the rest of the East coast fares as well. All we (Rose and I) have to do now is put up with a rainy (off and on) morning, and pick up some small amount of vegetation stuff. Supposed to be beautiful this PM and for the next 5 days or so -

**DONOTDELETE**

Bernie,

Glad ya made it through "Earl" OK...was thinking about all my North CArolina friends the last couple days....Blackie looks great with the quiver...good luck this season and enjoy your time in the woods...

Lee

ber643

Thank you, Lee, and same back atcha. I certainly intend to do my best to enjoy whatever time I get in the woods, at the very least. Even if I have to sit in one of the trees on my lawn or back yard and just shoot at stray tree rats, possums, etc.    :D
