We just back home from going out to eat, when my called & said there was a nice buck behind the house. Sure enough, I looked out and there he was. I could not count the points since it was beginning to get dark, but he looked to be pretty good. The rack is tall and wider than his his ears, all with pretty good mass. Sure wish I had a picture.

The unusual thing is that I live in town about 2 blocks from the main intersection. (Gray is not much more than a couple of intersections.) The wooded area is not very big. We commonly see a lot of wildlife, even numerous deer, but this is the first time I have seen a big buck this close to the middle of town.

Archery season is still a few weeks away, but I am really beginning to get excited about it now.  I just hope I see one this nice from my stand.

Oops, I should say it was my wife who called and said he was there.

GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!!!!  

It is very exciting to see them in the neighborhood.  I was coming home late, 12:30 or so this past Friday night and there were 7 does and a nice 6 point a few houses down from me.

I've got a tree grove deer frequent right behind my house that I hunt, only problem is only the little bucks hang out here!    Good luck on tagging him this season!
