Rob,

That's what a "Classic" longbow should look like. Don't get me wrong, I like all the Fancy woods but I love a simple, Classy bow. Your bow is Spot-on in the looks department. Very clean..

Enjoy Rob.....

i already have a mohawk t/d, 62"/55#.  longer limbed bows just feel/shoot better for me, but there are times when you really need to go as short as you can stand, like hunting from up a tree or in a blind or when the brush makes it tough to move let alone shoot.  i'm more than likely gonna spend more time at spot 'n' stalk hunting, or within ground cover, so i'd like to move up to 66".  the t/d is a requirement for me since i fly out to almost all my hunting venues.

if it wasn't for my penchant for locator grips, if i went with a straight handle instead, when braced it has that classic hill-style look.

what sets a mohawk way apart from a hill is the overall design and the mild r/d limbs which smooths out the draw, eliminates the shock, and boosts the performance past any reflex-only type longbow (hill) of the same holding weight.  swap the locator handle for a straight one, brace up, and the hill devotees will wanna know why your 'hill' longbow is so fast/smooth/shock-free.   :D

That fits the bill for me as well. My Border Griffon GL at 64" is a sleeve system T/D so it has barely a hint of a locator grip. R/D for all the reasons you mentioned, yet still retains that "classic longbow look." These style of bows are my favorite-today anyway!     :biglaugh:

Rob...does it have 3 lams in the front and one in the back to make 4 total lams?

Great looking bow!

4 core lams.  if the lams were clear glassed, it would be designated as 2 core lams, 2 veneer lams.

Rob,

What is the difference between the Classic and the regular Mohawk longbow?  Ken

Rob DiStefano

you missed that answer given on the last post of the first page ...

right from the newly updated mohawk website ...

The Mohawk Classic longbow utilizes actionboo cores and veneers under solid colored glass, with solid wood risers and overlays and no multi woods, stripes or accents, available in 64", 66" and 68" lengths only.

Hahaha!! That's a good one for you Rob!

I got a great idea last night when I was driving home from men's group meeting, "Why don't I take Bentpoles' Mohawk with me in the morning turkey hunting" I knew then I was going to call him to get his permission.

I called, no answer so I left a message. It's about 4:30 am now and unless I have a text or something giving me the ok before I leave it'll have to stay home.

Wish me blessings!

God bless,Mudd
