If he is still around, he would be even bigger. I think those are last years sheds as discolored as they are.

Nice find  :)

Wow! That's a nice one. Those big guys are a whole different animal. I found a massive 7-point last night that I didn't know about either.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

My shed hunting was ruined for the weekend. Had a foot of snow yesterday, 15 below zero this morning. Yuck! ;(

I wish I knew how to find sheds.

I've looked a bunch but never found anything while looking. I have been out just goofing off and stumbled on a single side once or twice but never found anything of that size.

Nice find Kenny, congratulations!

God bless,Mudd

I find most of mine off the tractor seat!!

These came from a 4 wheeler ride on a nice 65 degree day, pulled over to look at a deer trail, and saw the 1st,stepped off the rig and there was the other,15' from the 1st!!

Talk about luck!! Woulda bought a lotto, but figgered I'd used all my luck for this year right there!  :biglaugh:

Nice set Kenny. Was gonna go today but 3-4 inches of fresh snow and 3-4 more on the way I think I'll watch Basketball.

Saw two Bucks Wednesday morning still carrying both sides of their racks. I figured most would have dropped by now.

Have a good weekend!!

Funny how that goes. I've found old sheds like that before. I once found two sheds just off a trail that were from the same buck but two different years as one was bigger than the other. They were also the same side if I remember right. About 20 ft. apart. I think the big ones sometimes die from coyotes after they shed. I've found sheds where there was quite the blood trail leaving them. Makes me think that coyotes would pursue that. I also wonder if they are bit weaker at that time (late winter) and so easier prey.

Roy concentrate around winter food sources, and bedding areas nearby. Trails to and from. I find quite a few in what I call staging areas. Mostly its just lots of walking. I figure I put in about 3-4 hours for every one I find.

Nice find Kenny    Congrats!! I would like to see a trail cam pick of him.

My son has been cleaning up on the sheds off his 4 wheeler this year and I saw 2 bucks a couple days ago still carrying there horns.

You really haven't hunted the old fashion way until you've done it from one of these Indian houses.(The Tipi) "Glenn ST. Charles"

Yessir!

Can't put a camera out because of 2 legged predators.

Need to ask the other surrounding landowners if they saw him last summer or fall. His good side had a blade type tine on g-2,if they got a good look, they would have seen it.

I sure didn't see him last season, but there was this rather large set of tracks.......

Can you plant small food plots in your area?

The other 3,1 was off a dead buck,he had shed one side already,I kicked the other off with no effort. He was picked clean, its been a hard winter for this area......
