Any pics of burned camoflage wood arrows anyones done?

Was thinking about maybe trying it thought they looked cool seen it somewhere. Any pics and steps in how you do it. Burn then seal?

Bob, I don't use it for camo, I just use it as a diff. touch to my privative arrows....

I have burned for camo/looks for years no issues with hurting the shafts or lowering there durability.

I get a little burn and scorch marks during straightening the shoots I make into shafts.
Heads Carolina, Tails California...somewhere greener...somewhere warmer...or something soon to that effect...

i burn mine as well. It looks good. I am doing another batch this weekend, I will post up some pics when they are done.

Shaft - Maple / Feathers - Peacock ( two feather fletching )
Shaft - Maple / Feathers - Grey Goose ( three feather fletching )

wow guru and yononindo those are really cool primitive arrows. i would like to see how you tied on the fletchings. did you use glue and a fletching jig first? if not, how do you get the correct spacing on your fletchings for the correct helical twist?do you tie on the back first?how do you determine how much space to leave available in front of the nock? i really like the trade points too yononindo.  :notworthy:    :notworthy:

Hi Broketooth,

this is how I do it.

I am using this antler tip for fletching. Great little helper and easy to make yourself.





Also good for straightening arrows.
