No, I didn't have the RER's at Kazoo this year.
Very cool bows though!

Kat Maybe that wasn't as much a typo as a prediction. "Food looking bows" would be something cool to hunt with.

The road to "Sherwood" makes for an awesome journey.

Oh man ... just when I think I might maybe dedicate the season to the longbow, Kevin always comes up with a dandy !

Like George says about resemblence to Herters ... I'm a Herters fan too.... I can see that 64 with a little extra palm swell, in rosedwood right now !   ;)

I'm torn between getting an Arroyo or a new set of recurve limbs for my X riser.

Which of their 1 pieces has the closest feel to an X riser?  Would a 58" seem to stack more than a 64" LX?

Whip

The Retro is the one piece version of the XR 3 piece takedown.  The Vortex is the one piece version of the LX.
I love the smoothness of my 64" LX.  Stacking will be a function of how long your draw is.  The 58" one piece bows should be good out to a 30" draw, but I still think the longer bows are going to feel a bit smoother.

I'm dead on 28".  I want to step up in some weight and shorten the bow some without changing the feel too much.  I'm probably spoiled by my lightweight 64" LX.

Boom Stick

Whip,  if the Retro=XR and Vortex=LX,  which one piece is closest to the X riser?  I always thought the X riser was based off the Arroyo.

Have you noticed the Arroyo grip being much bigger than an "X" grip?

Gator1

Any one shooting the Retro?  RER is a finely crafted bow for sure. And very nice people.

Whip

Boom, the X riser is the one that makes up the XR and LX models.  The only difference is in which limbs are attached.  The LXR is one riser with a set of longbow limbs and a set of recurve limbs.
The Arroyo grip is bigger than the grip on the X risers.  Although of course Kevin can build them any way you want them, so if you want an Arroyo with a grip to match an X riser, he could do that.
