I just noticed this crack, don't know how long its been there, I high lighted using a sharpie so you can seen it better. Is it fixable or is it a wall hanger? Thanks...

Cody Roiter

Well I would take and try some LT40 in the crack...

It might hurt, real bad if the glue does not hold.

I have to agree with Pete.

Wall hanger. My son had a rcurve hat had a tiny crack. Any fix is temporary and when it comes loose at full draw you don't want to be the one shooting it! Trust me on this.

how old is the bow? do you have a warranty of any sort on it? contact manufacturer or the bowyer who made it for you.

if you don't have warranty, i'd make it into a wall hanger...
i was told by a sales person, when purchasing an out-of-date newpaper that it was out-of-date...

i told her "i've been told i'm out-of-date, too"...

does that mean i'm up-to-date?

It amazes me that risers, especially beefy ones like this, fail before the limbs do. Seems like it should be the strongest part of the bow!

I am sure BowDoc will come along real soon to give you his opinion...

Craig, is it a Bear? Looks like it. If so, I've seen a few AFTER they exploded......not good.
