A while back I traded for a Morrison ILF riser. I'm a bit of a fan of Bob's work,so I was 99.9% sure that I was going to really, really like the bow, once I found the perfect limbs. After a lot of 'Umm'-ing & 'Ahhh'-ing  decided on a set of Lancaster Archery's Blackmax carbon/wood long recurve limbs. Not too spendy & exceptional performance for the price.
Awesome! Bow completed, totally satisfied.

Well.......kinda.

The riser was charcoal diamondwood. Exceptionally tough, good mass weight without being heavy & totally bomb-proof.

Pretty? Ah, no.

The limbs were carbon belly & back with hard-rock Maple cores, as used by Olympic & FITA archers the world over.
Solid, very fast (193fps with a 680g arrow) perfect weight (62#@30") stack-free & smooth as an oiled snake.

Attractive? Umm, not even close.

So I've got an awesome bow (pretty much perfect, to be honest) that shoots lights out, is solid, fast & not too heavy but looks like arse.

What to do? What to do?

Then, lo & behold, Lonnie (Camodip) of Precision Hydrographics posts up that he's running a Trad-Gang special offer    "That's the very thing fer me!" thinks I & the PM-ing commences

Well, today the beast has trully become the beauty! The turd has been polished & sow's ears have become silk purses.
Lonnie's dipped the HECK outta this bow, it's allover Winter Green & it's perfect    

If you too have an ugly bow that needs making over to go win Prom-Queen, give Lonnie a call. Seriously, you'll not regret it for a minute!

Great looking bow there Rob, just be careful where you put her down. I have the #50 carbon wood longbow and recurve limbs for the Pinnacle ILF riser. Aint them limbs sweet, one of the best buys in the industry. Sam.

Once I get my next pretty TallTines, I am going to have Brian pull me one out of the scrap heap to send off to Lonnie to get camo'd up--that is going to be one sweet hunting rig Rob--that camo dip finish is nearly indestructable.

Ohhhh Rob what have you done????  :cool:  It does look real good. Let me know your thoughts on the Black Max limbs??? That is one of the beauties of the ILF riser, lots of limbs and all different price ranges, new and used.
