I have a fast flight plus string on a bow that just keeps stretching.  It has been on the bow for several months and is well shot in.  It stayed at my brace height for a while until about a month ago.  Seems like once it started getting hot it would just keep stretching and stretching.  I bet it has stretched over an inch, probably around 15-20 twists.  It just doesn't seem right.  I have been watching the loops and they don't seem to have grown.  What do you think?  I just went out and shot it and it has moved about an eighth in the last week or so.

I would check with the maker, and see what you come up with. Do you leave the bow strung? Heat, humidity will cause some creep, but that sounds like alot. But also if the string wasn't pre-stretched it will stretch an inch easily, if it hadn't been put under any tension prior to you receiving it. Also, when you put it on the first time, did you have to twist it alot to reach you desired brace height? Steve

The strings are prestretched and the bow is left strung usually.  I did not have to twist a lot at first either.  None of my other bows or strings have done this before.  I can see a little stretch but not an inch or more.

LBR

I'd dump that string right now.  I couldn't guarantee it, but it sounds like a failure is coming.  It shouldn't start stretching that much just out of the blue.

I am going to have to agree with LBR.

I've learned cheap old fashioned strings "stretch" but new high preformance strings "creep". lol Sounds like alot of stretch to me though!
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!

I agree also, when I find a string that keeps stretching I replace it.

ArkyBob

I would take Chad's advice, he knows strings as well as anyone.

Yes, it very well could be broke or cut under the serving and you don't see it
