Having a ball with the trail cam I got from DW and Skyler. Went to change my card in the Moultrie and looky what is sprouting already and it is only April ! We had a record mast crop last year due to severe and extended drought. A forester told me that in response to severe drought the trees would put out huge amounts of mast to carry on the species I guess ?

This excess mast has the deer in great shape going into spring this year and looks like the bucks will grow early and hopefully bigger than ever this year.

Oh yeah,
notice the, "holes", in the hair on his neck.... Finding it all around the mineral lick / feeder. Shedding the hollow winter coat for the solid summer coat.

Gotta love them cams...they are addictive also...you may find yourself with more than one...I ended up with so many that it took me a day to drive around pulling and replacing cards and batteries.

Notice any change in this buck in just a few short weeks ??? Look at those stumps erupting out of his head.

I am a little concerned now about my Moultrie cam.... I intentionally left it on and approached it today to fill the feeder and pull pics and it did not take a pic until we walked right up on the cam ! We were filling and working on the feeder for 5 minutes and no pic of us !!! Why ???
