Bear #20R

I made the bow I wanted to make the bow quiver. It was a challenge but it's just as good as any other bow quiver you can buy.

Made a complete set of leather gear with a hip quiver that's deeper than most, like I wanted.  Over the snowed in holidays I made three hair on versions of the quiver...

I wanted a hunting day pack like the CatQuiver but decided to save the money and make one out of what I had laying around.

I started with my old Cabela's day pack. I never did like the shoulder straps and waist strap that came on it so I cannibalized the shoulder straps and waist belt from my old Army Alice pack and mounted them on the Cabala's pack.

Then I took a 5qt. Army soft canteen bag and rigged it so I could hang it inside the pack against the back. Then I rigged a plastic tubing straw from the bottom of the canteen bag, up through the cap, though the back of the pack and down the right shoulder strap.

And last I took an old bow quiver and mounted it to a piece of leather that I could slide down between one of the side pockets and attached it with velcro.

horse hide poss. bag, braintan shot bag, priming horn, powder horn, turtleshell/slate turkey call, my hunting knife, BBO, and my throwing hawk.

ive got more that cannot be shown here: starting to build a muzzleloader, and making my braintan buckskins (mocs, pants, frock).

Made my own broadhead sheaths. Nothing fancy ,but it saved me about 50.00 instead of buying 6 of them.

I really needed a back quiver that could hold alot of arrows and not smash my new bamboo arrows turkey feathers. So this is what I came up with

I made it out of my first attempt at buckskin tanning. I really screwed up and the hide wound up somewhere between buckskin and rawhide! Well the hide was just stiff enough that I thought it would make a quiver. It turned out kinda cool and only had about 4 hours in it(after tanning the hide  :bigsmyl: )
Dick, I really like your hip quiver set up, that is some fine work there brother!....Terry
