If it has wind shear, it rocks.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

I use the Cabela's Berber fleece with Windstopper.
I love it. Never noticed any noise and really comfortable especially if I get a little sweaty. Evaporates and I'm dry again.
The biggest problem with my BF pants is that I get too hot in them while moving around and have to pack them.

All the windshear I have is super quiet. I have a turtleneck and fleece bottoms and several fleece tops. It is the best I have found and it has never been noisy unless the new stuff is noisy. Mine is all at least 3 or 4 years old! Shawn

stoney creek gear of new zealand is the best gear i know of. check it out. a mate of mine hunted B.C. a few years ago. everyone wanted to buy it off him. bit pricey but i've had my stuff for about 8 years. i reckon thats great value. with the $US the way it is against ours ($AUD) probably worth the effort.

Probably not made any longer, but I have a ASAT fleece jacket with a product called "Comfort Max" in it..i.t's a quiet membrane... coat is totlly windproof...I carry it when exherting though..no tranpiration of sweat!

Also have a knit face/head mask..with comfortmax in it... very nice. I had to cut it out around the ears, though..there it was noisey...but not in the coat.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Cabela's Wooltimate with windshear. It's very quiet and NO wind gets through.

I've used Frogg Toggs under my wool outer layer for wind and switched places when it rained.

I've been using my windshear for two year and in below freezing and sub zero weather.  Never have had it act noisy in my opinion. I do have some camo that is "windproof" that sound like a your sitting in a Hefty trash back when it gets below freezing, but I switched to windshear because it was so quite.  Don't think I'll ever use anything else. dino
