who's seen the Eclipse broadheads write up in the new traditional bowhunter.I always new they were bad
ass but now I love them even more.fly great-hold the edge and almost indestructible with a teflon coating.a little expensive but well worth it.  

I havent read the article, but I think Blake sells a great broadhead for sure. I met him at the PBS banquet and I think highly of him. The heads very durable, maybe indestructable.

I have not seen the article but I shoot the old made in canada journeyman head ( before eclipse) and really like how they sharpen, hold an edge and fly. I just sent my gear to MI for a few days whitetail hunting. I had my cousin open the boxes to make sure all was well, when he got to the quiver/arrow box he called me and asked if I had anymore of those heads! I guess I can spare a couple for him. After all he is the guy that got me into traditional archery.

Do we know what is different from the old heads to the new Idaho heads?

I read article last night and have never shot an Eclipse, but will worder some now, just to try them out.

Kirk I think they are made on the same equipment as they Journeyman's but I may be wrong. The main difference is the teflon coating. I have always liked the design. I have shot the Journeyman and the Eclipse and like both, but since Blake is a good friend I use the Eclipse.

I too have met Blake and he is tops!
I love the Eclipse broadhead, flies great, holds a good edge, and is very tough. What more can a fella ask for?

Eclipse are great heads, the insight the article provided was very interesting.  Blake is great to work with too.

Havent read it but i'm using them this season, with one down and more to come, i think they are a fantastic head. I've even gotten to where i can sharpen them up in under 10 min per head..scary sharp...

That's all I use since my Dad took them to Africa for his bow safari......

I have 6 on my footed shafts but havent found a willing recipient.Maybe tomorrow after work.They do fly well and sharpen easily.

So are you guys using the single bevel ones?

I use double bevel but am going to try the single bevel on a moose hunt is 2010.

Was going to read the article last night, but fell asleep before I got that far.  
What is the cost of these heads?  Have thought about trying some of the tuskers as well.  Which is better?  Have shot Zwikey's for 30+ yrs but always willing to try something new.

Better is subjective but both are excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to use (and do use) either one.

Eclipse are more sophisticated and high tech, but with a price to match, we get $27.99 for 6 in the 2 blades.

Tusker's are the "Army Jeep" of broadheads, not fancy but they get the job done, we sell glue ons per each but you can have 6 for $17.94.

Thanks for the info.  I just checked you website and see you are out of the 125 gr. 2 bl. models.  How long do expect before you get so in?  Will be hunting hogs and javelina in Dec. so would like to try them.  Really does not take much to down a javelina, but would be a good time to test them.
