i have a 29.5"-30" dl, changes depending on the grip of the bow, not sure what my "true" draw is.  i have "discovered"  pop up blind hunting, and i absoloutly love it.  my current bow is a 64" lb, and its just to big too be comfortable in a pop up blind.  i am looking at the 54" darkhorse bob lee, and the black widow ($$$$$) psr 56".  i can deal some loss in accuracy, due to the fact that the area i mostly hunt is really thick...super thick.  15 yards is about as long as ill get.  finger pinch never made much sense too me, or was any concern, as compound archers shoot 40" bows just fine.  my concern is damageing the bow.  will it damge one of these tiny bows to draw it 30"?  thanks for any info!

I have two 56" Black Swans, a 3pc recurve and 1pc hybrid. They both handle 31.5" draw without blinking and no stack. I hunt 99.9% of the time from the ground and natural blinds. Life is much easier with the short bows.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

O.o  that amazing!  is that the black swan?  i believe the tester for tbm said a swan he tested was the most efficient bow he ever tested as well...plenty to think about!

Yes it's a Black Swan. You'll need a 58" PSR for your draw and a 64" Lee by their recommendations.

Dont forget about the Shrew bows.  You can get a 56" Classic Hunter longbow and will have no problems drawing to 30" with it.

54" RER Arroyo, Quick ,quiet and will handle 30"s with no stack or pinch, best short bow out there. Static limb tips make the bow a pleasure to shoot even with a long draw and it shoots like a 62" bow. Shawn

The Black Mountain Obsidian at 48" would be a good choice as would the new 54" version. Brent makes a beautiful bow that flat out shoots. Check out the Hope and Faith thread up top.

I wouldn't hesitate to go 58" for blind shooting....plenty of room with a bow that long and might open up some more options with other bows for you.....

I have a 54 inch Fedora 560 takedown that I draw to 29 inches. No stack or finger pinch. Just another option for ya.

I'll second the 54" RER Arroyo. Very nice drawing and shooting bow as well as being very quiet.  Kevin, Sue, and Family are awesome to work with as well.

Saluki bows by Lucas Novotny. TRULY, a short, smooth, quick bow with great workmanship and service.

I draw my 58" kanati longbow to 31.5 and she is smooth.....Nice bow and a great value- JKT traditions

Morrison Mini-14 ILF with "D" limbs (58" AMO) if you really have a 30" draw length.

Shrew Classic Hunter 56" (and even 54" would work although I think Ron LaClair and Gregg Coffey would recommend 56").

I have both these bows (with my 29 1/2" draw length I shoot the "C" limbs on the Morrison for a 56" AMO bow) and they are great.

I don't doubt anything David Knipes or Shawn Leonard say because they know what they are talking about, but I have never tried the bows they are recommending.

Hey Dave, that's a pretty neat scale you got there.... Jim
