Has anyone ever shot a timberhawk bow? I just recently heard about them and on the internet they look nice, but with out ever shooting one i'm not dropping any cash on one. Please give me some imput if you have ever shoot one.

Andy, I owned one and after I swapped it off, I tried to get it back.....no luck! Very stable and quiet with very good speed. Scott is an excellent bowyer and a super individual to boot. Show season is over, so I'd bet he has a couple of "show" bows in stock. I believe that Lost Nation Archery carries Timberhawk bows as well. It is one of the few bows that I traded off that I really regret. Mike

I traded mine off and was sick about it. I was lucky and was able to get it back. Scott is outstanding to deal with. When mine was done he called three days later to see how I liked it. He said that if it did not suit me send it back and he would rework it to my satisfaction.

You guys are nuts! I wouldn't trade mine for nothing. Mine is not the fastest but it's the most forgiving and easy to shoot recurve I have found. call Scott I bet he has one you could try.

My friend has one and it shot pretty good. They have an unusually large riser though. This made it stable and dead in the hand but it didn't look right. Alot of recurve nowadays have compact nicely contoured risers that blend into the limbs. When I saw this bow from the side I couldn't believe how big the riser looked compared to all the other bows on the rack, it's downright huge.

I have a 54 incher @ 43lbs and love it.  I'm starting to be able to hit shots at 25yds now that were unthinkable with previous bows! I have never held a bow with a better grip and I also would NEVER trade this bow.  

The only other bow I will get will be a 62 in TimberHawk @ 55lbs for elk hunting in the future. These bows are great shooters and their customer service is also excellent. I vote that you get one and enjoy it!

Brought up another Timberhawk thread for you.

I loved mine, but I had to sell the longbow.  I bought a used one off here and it was fantastic, but the tips broke because it had a fast flight string on it!  I didn't know the difference as I'd never used FF just thought it was an odd B50.

Anyway, I bring that up because he's currently fixing it for me at cost even though it's not his fault.  Luckily he lives close by.  

Heckuva guy.  I will get one of his 54" or 56" recurves for turkey this spring.  I recommend.

Andy, I had one of Scoot's Recurves and found it to be of excellent quality. Do not think you could go wrong with one of Scott's bows.Jerry

I shot Scotts own bow at Cloverdale and would have bought one but wanted a longbow.Great guy to talk to and bow was top notch!!!

I have one of his recurves and one of his longbows and love them both. I've had the recurve for 7 years and it shoots and looks as good today as it did when I bought it - an that's after toting it from Alaska to Africa. I'm waiting to receive one of his new takedown longbows.  The recurve and longbow both shoot great and has virtually no handshock.
