Face paint early and sometimes a mesh mask if the skeets are still bad. Paint and mask in cold weather. I like to make sure nothing is exposed. I even put a couple dots on my eyes lids so if I blink or squint, that part is covered.
Just one more step please!

Yep, just burn the end of the cork. Wait a minute for it to cool, then rub the burnt end on your face.

Wine corks work great.

Always a face mask. I wear a full beard that has turned white over the years. I don't think paint would work on it, and I don't want to dye it.

Sometimes I go without, but I  usually wear a Spandoflage headnet with a single hole for my glasses.  Sometimes I just let my graying beard and hat brim shadow do the task.

I would warn you to be careful using mud.  You have no idea what is in it.  Mud is full of stuff that can make you sick if you have it sitting on your face.

Does anyone think the deer can pick up the color of ur face as opposed to greens and browns as they see everyday, thats just what i figured anyway. And has anyone used one of those thick cold season face masks i tried it when it gets super cold, but i feel sort of uncomfortable cuz like a few guys said i cant really feel the anchor when I draw.

Those who wear spectacles and are concerned about glare off lenses alerting animals, how do you prevent this?

Naphtali, I switched from glasses to contacts solely for the purpose of hunting.  I was tired of them fogging up and slipping down my nose in hot weather.

I use a primos face mask that is tight against my face like the spandoflauge ones are.  In some places that I hunt, I am hiding from other hunters as much as hiding from the deer.  That means gloves and face covering.  Have you ever watched another hunter across a field?  You can see movement from a mile away, but it seems like you can see movement of uncovered hands and face about 10 times that far.

Best corks I've found come in Champagne or Spumanti bottles. They seem to black up nicer, and last longer.
