I have been playing around with carbons lately, I have come up with my hunting arrows. I plan on using  my 45# grizzly. I made up a GT 3555 full length with a 50gr brass insert, 125 gr Zwickey with four 4" parabolic with full helical set at 90 degrees they come in at 500 grains that works out to 11.1 GPP and the best part is they fly like darts and hit were I'm looking, I can't wait for deer season

James I've been shooting GT Trads with four 4 fletch for almost a year now. I shoot around 250 grains up front. They are with out a doubt my best flying arrows to date. I can shoot them out of both my Longbows too. They fly like LAZER guided darts!

i shoot and have field tested 3flech para ,shield. 5 1/2 para, shield and 4 fletch para ,shield. my personel findings are the 4fletch 5" para or shield fly and perform best from longbows and the 3 flecth performs best from recurves.

As far as I'm concerned, once you go four fletch, ya' never go back...

sounds great and glad they fly like darts.

I also been playing around to find that sweet spot for carbon, now I am using bemen 500 cut to 29 1/4 inch long, have 3 5.5 inch bananna fletch, 125 gr point, and 29 inch 1/8 inch poly rope inside the shaft...they come out at 471 grains and also fly like darts.

now my question may sound stupid but will I still have good peneration on a deer. I was using 1916 alum shaft cut the same length and fletch but without the 1/8 inch poly rope inside the shaft.I also am using 125 gr point on the shaft. I plan on using a 2 balde 125 gr BH...

All I shoot is 4 fletch and I love it out of my recurves. I have no problem getting great arrow flight with my ash shafts and Snuffers.
