Just an update ive had good success with this product only draw back is the sun doesnt shine very often in the winter months and its to cold to cure outside so had to order some UV cure lights and its working well , 3 quick coats, light sanding in between and ready to finish in about an hour.

Crooked Stic

I see you can buy it by gallons. Is it sprayable. Can it be used under a solvent finish like Krystal?

Have you tested this by letting it cure overnight in 80-90 degree temps?  Some of these sealers will shrink. I've never seen this one before. Do you have a MSDS sheet on it ot tech data on exactly what this stuff is?

Never mind Bryan, i found the data sheet.....   This is polyester resin and has excellent solids for filler.
Is this the same product you purchased?  I couldn't find one that said "Grain sealer filler".

Brandon Stahl use to swear by polyester grain filler for a base for gloss finishes.

Solorez does have a few different products this is labeled as grain filler its is actually very thin and the idea is to only fill the crevices and leave very little on the surface , put it under the light or better yet in the sun and ready to sand in a few minutes i use alot of wenge and its been working well I apply it with my finger and wipe the contours of the riser with a strip of stretch wrap, (idea i got from Rob Nicoll its quite brilliant 😊 and then spray my auto clear finish.
