Does someone use Titebond 3 when gluing risers with different hardwoods.If you do what grit abrasive paper do you use?I have always used epoxy glues, but Titebond 3 sounds more user friendly.

I built my bows using titebond 3. It's great for risers. I have done glue ups with common wood's such as oak,maple,walnut,beech,etc.,as well as exotics such as blackwood,padauk,bloodwood,zebrano and others.
60 to 80 grit sanding is good.
I just googled the subject of sanding before gluing. It's recommended that the wood is sanded with 150 to 220 grit.
Like I said, I have always sanded to 60 or 80 grit with good results.

I forgot to mention, gluing mixed woods is no problem.

I know for sure EA 40 works so why change.

Because Titebond 3 is a lot cheaper and easier to use.

TBIII is also non-toxic.

Will TB handle being in heat box?

All TB wood glues break down at 150 deg.(F) I contacted TB's tech support and asked how to make it release for a project I was working on.
