Sarah,
LMCHIEF is a stand up guy and one of the best shots I have ever seen. He would  have had an elk this year if a tree branch wasn't in the way. Oh, he makes great knifes too!

J.K. Traditions is  Jason Kendall.  He builds short hybrid longbows under the name Kanati. He used to build the Kabakoma River longbows, until he changed the design a little.
I met him at a shoot in Mn. a few years ago and shot a couple of his bows. They were very nice shooting bows. I think one was a 58" and the other was 56" very smooth even at a 29" draw.

I'll be back in Forest City on monday the 30th for the week. Don't know how much free tome I'll have in the evening. I also won't have room in the mixer truck to bring my bow.

Sarah

Bummer. Well if a bow finds you, let me know.
I shot with Dave and had a great time. Shooting with other people sure beats shooting alone. We're going to the Lakeville shoot tomorrow.   :)

If you're thinking of going to see Jason, let me know as well, I'd like to meet the guy and have a look at his bows.

Going to try to make it to the Lakeville shoot in the AM tomorrow, denpending on how a sore ankle is holding up.
One think to keep an eye out for at the Lakeville Club is people hiding and moving targets, sometimes into un-safe shooting positions.
Unforunately the Archery club is on shared public property and some of the "hikers" feel the need to disrupt the targets. If they only knew the danger they were putting the next unsuspecing person to come down the trail in. Hopefully they will be monitoring this more closely this year. It was pretty bad last year, and I just stopped shooting as it was too frustrating.
Something to watch for though.
Look for the lefty shooting a Dwyer longbow, that will be me.
