This is a bow I have just finished from a Howard Hill bow blank.  It is an Owl blank with extra boo lam.  Osage on the back and belly and three bamboo lams in the middle, with a cocobolo riser.  I added the tip overlays, also of coco.  I ordered 50@27 and it scaled at 54@27 before I started the finish work.  It finished out at 53@27, but it would have been easy to get her to 50@27.  If you need more details of the build please see my build-a-long.

Looks great, how does she shoot? I have heard some say the HILLS have some hand shock. Looks like a good way to get into making a good quality bow. Again great job !!!!!
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

She shoots great!  I just have to reprogram the computer between my ears.  I have been Hill-less for a few weeks, and only shooting my wood bows.
