Man Roy, that's some good looking bow material you got there!! Should turn out beautiful!!

Back to huntin tomorrow but gonna be real windy in a day or two, so should finish tiller and tips and possibly speed check against the original limbs.  Think its gonna be a few lbs. lighter but we can get the general idea...

On your FD profile it looks like your limbs working all the way up and still holding the string angle bet that bow shoots great with heavy arrows I like it

Thanks Ritchie!

Here are the chrony numbers for both sets of limbs...

64" TD longbow

Original limbs with .003 total taper including superlam and 1" less reflex

48.09# @ 28" with a 531 grain arrow (my hunting arrow)  11.04 GPP  -- 173 FPS

New limbs with .002 taper , no superlam but with 1" more reflex

48.00 @ 28" with same 531 grn arrow 11.06 GPP -- 177 FPS

NOTES:

New limbs have no finish sprayed on them
New limbs have wider tips
Shot off shooting machine
First impression is new limbs are  a bit quieter

Very nice looks like you hit the sweet spot on those Kenny I'm in ,looks like you could easily get a few more inches of draw on the 64" ,  I'm going to try one in spring , got busier this winter then in the last decade ! No time for bows !

Not too bad a gain there Kenny. Every little bit helps---optimizing  :clapper: Betting with .002 taper and include the superlam even a bit more.

Looking good Kenny!

How far are the string grooves in front of the handle on those new limbs?

...stood alone on a montaintop, starin out at a great divide, I could go east, I could go West, it was all up to me to decide, just then I saw a young hawk flyin and my soul began to rise......
