Perfectly sync those limbs Roy and you'll like the bow even more.

Why wouldn't you? What are your concerns?

Glad ya went for it! I have had to take a few bows to fat camp and in  narrowing the limbs in my r/d bow and flat bow it made the bow design a little better.

Best of skill and can't wait to see ya at full draw flinging arrows!

We went fishing in our pond tonight, my Honey caught a cat fish. Not one of the big boys though, this is a female and only about 24 to 26 inches long. We got cats 30 inches long in there, but they are very hard to land on 20 pound test line. This one was a good 15 - 20 pounds anyway. Video is from my cell phone and it was getting dark on us. But it's all good in the hood. Gonna go play wif my tri lam now and get some more weight off her.

Spent 2 hours reducing more weight and tillering. It's now 35# at 23". -3/32nd tiller and pull rope is even closer to the line. It looks real sweet to me. 4 more inches to go and should land around 43 pounds. Not really concerned about the pull rope tracking right down the line, it's so close now and from past bows, I know this baby is gonna be smooth, quiet, and accurate:)

It's tuff holding the camera for video and pulling the rope:)

Umm, Roy
You do know that some of those cutoffs from your bows will make a nice tripod for your camera? :)  But all that matters is, it sounds like you are enjoying retirement. That is a sweet tri lam.

She is done being tillered, 45 pounds at 28". Finished up the riser after these pictures and sanded the bow down with 220 grit, then 320 grit paper. Still a few more hours work until it's shot in and finished. But I like it a lot:)

Un-braced profile is very even with the black line on the wall.

It has a negative 1/8th tiller.

Looks great, Roy.  But I'd let it be for awhile and put that catfish in the smoker.  Nothing better than smoked catfish.
It's hard to make a wooden bow which isn't beautiful, even if it's ugly.

Nice one Roy!

I'll have to try a tri-lam some day... Heck if you can do it...  ;)

jsweka

Well Roy, I have to admit, you do make a fine looking bow.

Now let's see some video of you shooting her in.

Bowjunkie

A negative 1/8" tiller... to sync the limbs? Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about

I'm anxious to hear how you feel it behaves.

That's a nice looking bow, Roy, and I think one of your best to date.

critman

Mighty fine bow. Keep'em coming.
