Thanks folks.  I've been wanting to do this for a while.  I like copperhead looks but not big on killing snakes just for aesthetics.  Plus they are dammed 'spensive.

Those are "Conti Crayons".

so how do you seal it, and make it a permanent fixture.

Polyurethane I hope.  This is the first time I've done it.

Fooled me!  Looked like the real thing on the other post!  I love the idea - I really don't like killing snakes either and that looks great.  Let us know how it seals up.
