I am guilty, hope you enjoy the bow as much as I did building it.

James,

Sorry its taken me a few days to post this.

I really like the bow you built me.  The draw is sooooooo smooth.  Took it pig hunting last week I like it so much.  I'm planning on using it for spring turkey as well.

Thanks again for the bow.  I have shot it everyday since it got here!

UPS tracking says "out for delivery" so someone has a box on it's way to them. I sure hope ******** likes it. It isn't perfect on the tiller but it was at weight and shooting really well so I didn't want to push my luck with it too much. Jasper will be to it's new home soon

Thanks Kip. Character staves are fun, but good wood makes good bows... Or fancy firewood.  I should have it floor tillered tonight and maybe heated up too.

So I called the post office this morning to organise the pick up of the package that I had a note for. Shel at the post office said yep he had a package and would be happy to hold it for pick, BUT! its long and skinny and the box is all torn up.  :scared:   So I bettled on up to the post office scared that I will have a long tube of firewood. Well it turns out that the box was the only thing damaged. I am now the proud owner of a Two Rivers Longbow made by Leroy Buckley. This bow is a thing of beauty and I can't wait to get home and shoot it. See page 56 for photo's and details. I will get some full draw picsa this weekend end, might even chase some wabbits with it.

:readit:  My advise to all is to pack your bows in solid tubes, even with great care on the part of the handlers stuff gets beat up in the back of a truck.  :readit:

Listen to Razor back I just saw a UPS truck floor it over a speed bump!  You could hear everything jump inside.  It sent shivers down my spine thinking of a bow on it.     :scared:

Hey I just got Jasper .Beautiful, the tips are one of kind and thats one tight grained piece of hickory.Shot a few times,no shock, shoots hard.I have to play with some arrows to see what shoots best.I'll get pictures as soon as someone comes home so they can take full draw shots.Thanks,Steve.

Congrats Razorback,thats one beautiful bow.

Well I'm back to square one. I ended up missing the target weight range by a few pounds and don't want to try to add weight back in. Thought about diferent ways to increase the weight, and thought about the posibility of ruining a good bow.
The good news is I get to keep this one, and make onother one. I will do it the same I think, just need to be a bit more carefull in early tiller stages to keep the weight higher.I lost more in the finishing stages than I expected to.

I'm so glad you got another job but I don't envy you going back in a coal mine. I like my overhead being sky!
