Very nice, I like it!
Bit of a downer for me today, had a shopvac being used as a dust collector and the damn switch died on me. Also bought a new dust collector unassembled and when I got it together and turned it on it sounds like a 747  cleared for take off! The neighbors are already giving me the evil eye in any case.!

this bow is pauduk/purple heart--I love the look--
it can be oily-and clogs paper as well as needing grain filling--I would try a uv blocking finish as darkens pretty quick too....

This is the handle section of my target/field bow which I made some 20 years ago. The center strip is Bubinga and the outer strips are Padauk. As you can see the bright red Padauk turns a brownish color and it happens rather quickly.

Don't have anything done today but tomorrow, I am going to the local hardware store to get a board cut into arrow blanks. Then, I'm going to lop down a tree I've been looking at, and split and seal it.

All I did today was work and dream about the massive quantity of black locust I have to split soon. It's cut into 7' lengths, ends sealed and stacked elevated above the ground. But it's on Long Island and I'm in VA. Cant wait till september I will get to split it and take some home.

I think I have like 10 log lengths of 12"-18" diameter logs plus some branches. God only knows what I will do with all that. Hopefully it doesnt rot or antyhign in the meantime.

Dan Landis

Ben, it won't rot, could have some problems with bugs though.  I'd spray for bugs if you have the opportunity.
