Now this is funny, I'm making another tri lam right? I have it all ready for glue up but decided to wait till tomorrow night for the glue up, glad I did. After looking at the pictures and videos, it hit me that I never got the cedar core lams included in the process. LMAO.. Damn Beer any ways:)

Tonight the wife did the full draw pose:)

Then I glued up another tri lam.

fujimo

how are you liking the tri-lams compared to the BBO?
is there a difference in performance?

Roy from Pa

I love it Wayne. The glue up and clamp up is so much easier than a two piece Osage/Boo, because the three thinner pieces bend so much easier than the thicker Osage belly slat does. It does create the extra glue though, but that's no big deal. The deflex/reflex  lines of the tri lam are so much smoother an sexier and more defined compared to a BBO. And you get a nicer curve through the riser section, which I really think set's the looks of the bow off. The profile of the tri lam just flows so nicely tip to tip and through the riser section. It also seems to have a slight edge on performance, prolly mostly because of the lighter cedar core lam.

This second tri lam pictured above, I moved my  mid limb posts 2 inches closer to the riser at glue up than I did for my wife's bow above. That will induce more deflex and more of an arc through the riser. It will also cause more of the limb to work.

Thanks guys ! The draw weight is 57@27, but I think at the end it will be 54-55@27. The guy who is gettin' it draws at 29", so I guess he should end up at about 60lbs, which makes a good weight for huntin' boars. So far I just shot a few arrows to check the tiller and it seemed to me that it was pretty fast with my 580 grain arrows.

I turned this;

Into this;

With a few steps along the way. Roy would call this the sissy pants way to harvest osage.

This tree was really loaded having been pushed against the trees behind it. I suspected it would spring out when I cut it loose from the trunk. It did but I put my tractor in a place to catch it an keep it off me.

About time ya get that Kubota dirty, Eric:) I've used mine for the same thing so I won't pick on ya... You have weight in the rear tires? I'm surprised she didn't tip on ya a little.
