Kenny, its not like a bow maker to just toss good money out the window! I seen pictures of your shop and with a little help you have the tools to chop that bad boy off yerself!

All joking aside glad its gone and was not anything serious.

On second thought I don't think I should have posted that, I just have a vision of some guy bent over his band saw with some one els attempting to guide his head   :scared:

That's good news, Kenny. I had one removed from my back a couple years ago, thing was as big as a ping pong ball.

red hill

Glad you're okay, Kenny. Will they perform a biopsy on the growth?
I had a spot removed in September/early October. It put a big dent into my fall hunting. Feel your pain, Brother.

kennym

Thanks again!

Ralph, I asked my wife if she could just slice it off, she say NO!

Roy, not sure how big, but they said it was deep. had to dig and cut awhile, then they got to new territory and hadda give a couple more shots to finish.

Red, I tried to shoot my bow, didn't know I hadda use my neck so much! Couldn't draw my bow without thinkin I was gonna blow the bandage right off there! LOL

They are sendin it off to dissect.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Glad you made it Kenny. I normally cut my own stuff off, but some of us are a bit tougher. You going back next week to have him cut you fingernails next?

I told them I didn't want no pain shots, so I just took a cedar arrah wiff me and bit down on it like a real Injun would. Wish I had gotten the shots now cause by the time she was done, it looked like a crazy Beaver was chewing on the arrah...

It took 19 stitches to sew me back up when they dug it out, but I didn't mind cause the chick doing it was a knock out FOX... It was right between my shoulder blades, so that ended bow season for a couple weeks.

I wuz skeered Kenny they might chop off that big lump sitten on top of your shoulders.

Working on the tiller of my PA board bow trade... How does it look guys?

Trying to hit 50# @ 30 inches and right now I am 50 at 28

Roy from Pa

I guess it's ok, but the bottom limb looks a little better than the top limb. I think the outer third of the top limb needs a couple scrapes. But I wouldn't kick it out of bed:)

kennym

Roy, he wanted to, but decided there wasnt nuthin in it anyway  :D
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Either that or he has enough boxes of rocks at home...   :wavey:

LittleBen

Scrape the outer limbs to get to weight. Good luck.

Leave it to ol Roy to wanna take some wood to bed with him... happens at your age Roy

Worked some more on it in the outer limbs... lookin better?

Still got around 3-5 pounds to play with if it needs a touch more.

psychmonky

Top one still looks stiff starting about 3 or 4" above the top line on your garage door. That's just me and I wear glasses...and they're all scratched....and they're 4 years old. Oh and I'm still just a pup when it comes to all this bow buildin' stuff.
If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.

Roy from Pa

What Monkey Boy said. You are very close Justin, just a couple more scrapes on the top limb about 10 to 11 inches in from the tip. But it's looking super.

red hill

Yep. Roy, do your computer drawing stuff to pin-point the stiff area.

Just ordered 3 sets of osage billets, couple handle blanks, couple spools of B-50, spool of serving, and a beaver handle wrap. All from Pine Hollow. Decided to keep my business all in the family.

Funny part was I couldn't get the computer to take the credit card #. My wife had to do it for me. Ended up ordering everything by phone. Nice folks up there at the northern end of the state.

Been wanting to try a beaver tail wrap, some of you guys make'em look very comportable.

Roy from Pa

Stan, prolly be the first Beaver Tail ya had in a while huh? Ya remember how to skin em?

mwosborn

Good to hear they got it removed Kenny - hope your able to get back in the stand soon!

Justin. Your bow is looking good to me - have you put any arrows through it - if so how's it shoot?  If it is shooting good for you and you are close to weight might be time to do a little sanding    :goldtooth:
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch
