Okay.. so I am posting the christmas 5 bow build along and had this happen to bow #3.  Would like some ideas on what can be done.

The dowel on the form broke in the oven and let the pressure off of this area.  So I sanded it and applied more epoxy.. put it in the oven for a couple of hours.  I used c-clamps, but still have a little bit of a gap.. filled with epoxy.. not open.

I was wondering if maybe wrapping the area with some leather lace and epoxy?  Would give it a stick bow look and help to just re-enforce the area.

It is a youth bow and only going to be around 22lbs or so.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

Nothing to worry about in my opinion. If it is clamped now and full of glue it should be good for the poundage. those are really long fades do I see no problem; God Bless you and Merry Christmas , Steve

That is what my thought is.. It did not close up quite as tight as I would have liked.. but it is filled with new epoxy.

That is why I am thinking of wrapping the top and bottom of the riser just above the fades with some leather lace and epoxy.  Figured it could not hurt to have a little extra something.. plus the lace might actually look cool.
