Finished the overlay and the tips today. Still a lot of sanding to do but it's starting to looking good.

The overlay at the back of the grip

The tips are made of white phenol and a bit of cocobolo

Tomorrow it's time for some shooting and check how she's performing.

It is better to be approximately right than exactly wrong.

Your bows are looking better than the last. keep em coming...  :)

Swissbow

Shoot her the first time today and I'm very pleased with the way she spits out the arrows. Took some pictures with the knife of the future owner...

Still some adjustments to make at the riser and the arrow window, but we're very close to the final bow.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

@Kenny: Fortunately it was not that cold and Phil had prepared some frost protection stuff ( hot tea with rum... ).

@Rich: Sorry but I had the impression that she will not give it away anymore. She shot some arrows and she looked very happy...

Started applying the first coats of finish. First I sealed the cocobolo riser with epoxy that I thinned with acetone. After sanding with 240 grit sand paper I applied the first coat of finish.

The color of the cocobolo got a bit darker so now it's from red to almost black. I love it...

Thanks, guys for the kind words. Hope the stuff from Kenny arrives soon, because I have built a new form and I'm looking forward to build a few bows out of it.
